Cycling Jersey Project
This was my first time designing a cycling jersey or any piece of clothing. All I was told in the brief was that he wanted a green and black colour scheme and to incorporate his sponsor's logo on the front of the jersey.
Jersey Stencil
This is the stencil I used to layout my design before it went to print. When designing this I had to make sure there was very little black on the surface. This was to prevent the jersey from absorbing too much heat from the sun, which could cause discomfort for the cyclist wearing the jersey. The sponsor’s logo is on the front and back of the jersey and the right and left sleeves as well as each leg of the shorts there are also smaller sponsor’s logos on the left and right of the chest and on the back pocket of the jersey.
Final Cycling Kit
This is how the final Kit turned out in the end for my first time designing a cycling kit I have since been asked to do two more and of the three I’ve designed so far this one is still my favourite.
Other Jersey Designs
Famous Irish musician and actor Keith Duffy from BoyzLife wearing a different jersey I made while on a cycle in Howth, Ireland. This jersey is almost the exact same but the green and black are flipped.
